Bemax Snapper Mineral Sands Project

The Snapper Mineral Sands project is a mineral sands development in the Murray Basin 160km south of Broken Hill.

The project involved the expansion of existing infrastructure at the Ginko mine site and establishment of new infrastructure at the Snapper mine site including a Mining Dredge, Floating Wet Concentrator, Heavy Minerals Concentrator and associated plant buildings.

The process will produce approximately 575,000 tonnes per annum of mineral concentrate.

ICE Engineering were engaged by EPCM contractor Ausenco and Bemax Resources for the Electrical and Instrumentation installation.

Services provided by ICE Engineering for the project included:

  • High Voltage installation
  • Commissioning assistance
